Cambridgeshire Law Society was founded in 1871. Whilst not much is known about the early history of the Society, there are records of meeting minutes dating back to at least 1870 (even in 1870 we diligently kept minutes of our meetings!) which can be found in the Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire archives.

In 2021, the Society proudly celebrated its 150th year of serving and supporting the legal community in Cambridgeshire. Our membership is now bigger and more diverse than ever, which is a testament to the growth and talent of the legal services industry in Cambridgeshire.
